Hi Slackers,

I got an idea today, those are usually dangerous when i get them, so hold on to your seat, lol.

I started thinking you guys come here everyday, what is that you go to the Forums and say, "Man, I wish they had this here, I think it would be a lot of fun." Let us know so that we know what you guys would like to see if we were to make enhancements to the page. See you in the funny papers.

besides new firmware + software updates lol I don't know what else to expect from a forum. Just people here to talk to like you and Frank and I don't know is there such thing as forum games :P lol

I do like the design whoever did it did a great job :)

As far as enhancements I think you guys have covered all things "Slacker" pretty much, so I can only suggest non-Slacker ideas.

A forum section which has threads regarding Slacker Accessories. Both official and non-official. This would help users find, in one location, headphones, screen protectors, carrying cases, etc. to be used with Slacker.

Hmmm I just got a REALLY neat idea. it depends on how many PEOPLE you tend to have on these forums. if its less than HUNDREDS this might not work well (on at the same time not total)

how about a custom radio stations call "Slacker Forums Favorites" this stations would be "created" based on the "favorites" of the people IN the forums at the time.

so the kind of music would "change" over time as people came and went with different tastes.

OR how about a "chat" room with a live radio player active on it and anyone can enter into another text box on the page and artists name and that artists would get "inserted" into the stream playing for that chat room.

I have no idea if any of this is workable but it seems like there is potential to make things interesting.

AND YES new ideas can be a dangerous thing thats what makes them so much fun huahahaha

I just thought of this on my drive in this morning. I listen to some of the Alternative and Rock stations and seeing as the majority of them don't have a DJ to tell if it's a brand new song or not, how about a label of some sort for 30 days or so when a song is brand new, just released. Something kind of like the "online" label that goes across your post here in the forum when you're online.

I'm discovering new music all the time with this device as I've set it to go find a lot of stuff, but it would be nice to know that something I'm hearing for the first time wasn't new in '96. Just a little banner would be nice. Anyone else think something like this would be nice?

Well the technology behind the avatar upload is a bit dated. Why do I need to resize the picture if I know it can be done for me. Call me lazy but Facebook, among others, can do this just fine.

Slacker service is not available outside the US. Slacker is only licensed to play music for the United States.

I would like to see a way to ban an Album as well as just a song or artist. I keep getting an album(s) that have no relation to the type of music I selected but is a re-work of older artists with rock accompaniment. It runs the ability to just start the software player and forget it.

Also I would like to see a normal color scheme for the forum. This small gray print on a black background is lousy!

That's something for the phpBB coders to fix. It isn't under Slacker's control.

I second that. There's a Remixed and Reimagined album of Ella Fitzgerald songs that is horrible. It pops up in the Big Band/Swing station. Horrible dancey/techno crap.

While I would hesitate to use "lousy", I will agree that there are better color schemes, especially with older eyes like mine. (My eyes are 55 years old and I'm looking to trade them in on a couple of 10-year-old eyes...)

How about a mobile version of the site? I use my Blackberry a lot, and viewing these forums from that is painful at best.
