Squeeeze box webplayer question

Postby walkonatyclb on Wed Oct 14, 2009 5:43 am

When you use Squeeze box. Are you able to configure stations or save songs? Also will you actually get all the songs the web player plays instead of some license restriction on certain songs?

If you are streaming with your Squeezebox, then you get all the songs as if you were streaming from our website.

If you are listening to the Library, then you get the same songs as if you are listening to the library on our website. It works exactly the same.

Thanks,

When listening via Squeezebox, you can mark a song as favorite, save to your library (if premium), or ban a song or artist from playing on the station. That is the extent to which you can customize a station. You can't change any of the fine tuning settings of a station via Squeezebox.

I have a in house m&s hdm intercom in my house for room to room. I was looking at the squeezebox duet thinking hook up at control center where zones at and use clicker to navigate. Can the slacker interface be seen in the remote so I can change the station or access library? If so def be getting one of those.

Yes, the Squeezebox controller does allow changing stations, marking songs as favorites, banning songs/artists, library access, and more. Just make sure your WiFi covers everywhere that you'll want to use the remote.

I use a Squeezebox Duet all the time at home to listen to Slacker and love it. Besides the nice remote control, seeing the cover art and being able to read about the artists and albums, etc, while sitting anywhere in the house is great! The only problem I have with it is when I run the microwave. It's halfway between our router and the stereo, which are about 40' and two walls apart, and causes dropouts in the audio stream. Other than that, no problems!
