Some suggestions for the dev team

I've experienced the same problems others have had with bluetooth, error popups, etc., so I won't repeat them (again).

Instead I'd like to offer a suggestion for the Slacker team. I'm hoping this will replace my G2 portable in the car. You've done well as far as the interface goes, besting pandora and last.fm. The interface is slick and does what it's supposed to do, just like the portables. For car use, however, the buttons at the bottom of the screen should be larger.

Also, I'm not sure if slacker only streams in one quality. Pandora and last.fm have the option to go "low quality" for times when there's no 3G coverage. In the city, Slacker works fine, but if I'm on the road, I find myself having to go to the other apps since Slacker drops out.

I'm grateful that Slacker has released an app for android, as the licensing restrictions brought on by caching are really limiting. Keep up the good work!

Slacker does stream in one quality... and its only mobile option is likely using less bandwidth than Pandora's "low" bitrate option.

I don't know what codec Pandora is using, but I believe on their Blackberry app that the low bandwidth option is streaming at 64Kbps. I would imagine it's similar for other mobile platforms as well.

Slacker's only mobile option is using 40Kbps AAC+v2 (aka AAC-HE) files. To be honest, Slacker has done amazing things with this format, bringing near-CD quality audio with completely minimal bandwidth requirements. All of Slacker's mobile apps use this one format for their audio playback.
