When you think "R&B," you're not likely to think "Kenny J." The Slacker R&B team is right there with ya...but then we heard his new collaboration with Robin Thicke, and it was one of those things that made us go "hmmm."
Yes, Mr. G is a jazz saxaphonist, a POP Jazz sax man at that--and then there's the issue of his hair--but you need to hear the song "Fall Again" before you judge. Originally recorded by Canadian R&B singer Clenn Lewis, the track was written by Mr. Thicke and producer-songwriter Wally Afanasieff almost a decade ago. Kenny G decided he wanted to record it too, and there you have it. Initial reaction on Slacker has been powerfully strong, so please continue to let us know what you think.
BTW, "Fall Again" can be found on Kenny G's R&B-inspired album Heart and Soul , which dropped at the end of June.
