I am going to purchase the g2 armband. But Id just like to know how it stays on. Ive heard that you use the existing clip/case and that it slides into a rubber thing? How sturdy/strong is it? because my clip I dont really trust.

It does use the existing case of the G2 to attach to the armband. It is a very secure fit, so secure it's some times difficult to attach and remove it from the armband. The weakest link will be the clip so you wouldn't want to catch it on something and be rough with it. Saying this it works very well and I've been happy with mine.

had mine about a couple of months before that rubber thingy tore. the warranty is 90 days

Be great if they'd ever come out with a solid case (1 piece) like the iPod Nano has (tons of different brands, but especially the Nike Case). Those clips on the standard case for the G2 are made to break (they are hard plastic, after all). Plus, buying a case + an armband = near $40!!! That's absurd. I can make an elastic armband. Not worth the cash. Sorry Slacker.

Hopefully the 3rd party companies will start making accessories for it. I'm honestly surprised at the current lack of 3rd party support. They are all too * worried about the iPod.
