I am really enjoying slacker's electronic and acid jazz channel's, sound quality and track selection is great, keep up the good work.

Check out this station I created with similar tracks as boombox.

I discoverd Slacker after Sirius Dumped Boombox. The electronic/Dance channels are much better here.

Add another to the list. I canceled Sirius on Saturday and ordered the G2. New to Slacker altogether and it's almost too much music to listen to...almost. Got the portable today and haven't put it down yet. :headphones

I agree, so much new music, and I can skip tracks!
Wow, who knew?
Thanks Sirius, if it wasn't for your crappy tin can sound and new channel lineup I would have never discovered Slacker.
My new G2 is on the way!

The validity of that statement is so true it's sad
I never would have known about Slacker if it weren't for Sirius/XM's sound quality and lineup.

Add me to the list of Boombox Refugees.

Still a SiriusXM fan, albeit not too happy with them dropping Boombox (or Sirius Disorder).

Slacker has really taken up the, well, slack!

Count me in as a former fan of Sirius's Boombox station. I really think Slacker's Electronic/Dance Radio stations sound great. MUCH better than Sirius/XM!

Same here. I got a G2 for xmas and have hardly missed the Sirius in my other vehicle. Slacker makes listening to music fun again. What a concept! :rules:

Well, all you new heads. Slacker was great. But soon you will realize how repetitive it is.

They only licensed about 100 songs for play on slacker so you'll get sick of the thing after a couple months. I don't see any future for this service unless they actually add new (and old) content for us to listen to.

It gets almost as bad as FM radio without commercials sometimes.

I'm a slacker plus account holder with an 8GB G2 that I have had since December 08.

I'm very bored of hearing the same songs every single day with almost no new content.

Thank god I kept my sirius stiletto 2 and my lifetime subscription! Yeah, the quality isn't the best but it's better than the variety of a broken record. And hey, if I wan't to skip tracks I can pause my stiletto, listen to something else and come back with an hour of content in the memory. Or even better, set the stiletto to record a station for however many hours I want and listen to it another day and skip songs freely!

At least Area 38 plays all the latest livesets and adds new songs with a very minimal delay from release. BPM might suck these days but Area 38 still has good music. Sirius XMU also has good stuff that plays as it is released. Think "Indie Electronic" without constant repetition.

I'm sitting here right now listening to Electronic Hits and "Justice - Genesis" is playing. This is the 3rd time I have heard this song today. Now hear goes "Alice Deejay - Better off alone".. Wow; never heard this one 9,000 times before.

Don't even get me started about the "Trance" station. It's the same 50 songs that have been in rotation for the past year.

Sorry to rag on slacker, but this is reality and I am being bored to death with these crappy rotations. This would have been an ok situation if you were still getting started.. but this service has been going for over 2 years now. It's time to buy some more licenses guys.

I'm done here.
