repetition is really bad lately

i've noticed recently mabie 5 new songs added. Could you guys try to mix it up a little better and add some more old and new songs. I feel like I hear the same songs over and over. I know everything is based off charts ect thats fine but add some more content to keep the repetition down. I know you guys can do better then this :P

Posting the station might be helpful.

Walkonatyclb,

Are you talking about the Web player/Software Player or the Portable Player when you talk about repetition?

If you go under Edit Station and then Fine tune, what values do you have your sliders set to?
The best experience is typically found by setting them to 'Auto'.

Thanks,

I mean that in all versions. Just mentioning as a common listener that it could be mixed up better. And Yes I know its in 80's 90s Today. I'm just asking for a update for the station as in not moving away from what the format is just add more songs thats all!

lately this station has been really repetitive. Its playing the right songs. Just the songs that play around them are the same ones over and over. There not rotated and there isn't much of a library to this station even thou it has 3 decades in one. Its the same songs over and over. FM has more in there 80s 90s today. Please keep the same style songs just in other words add more to it! thats all! Not asking for a format change just more songs! Its not Todays hits with the excuse there can't be a big library because its only 08 stuff or major hits. Just add more songs :)

btw im talking about the portable im using.

I'm not too versed in how the portable works. I can tell you the library in this format his huge, though. However, when you ban songs, especially current hits, it'll tighten the rotations up exponentially. Banning an 80s or 90s song won't really have a noticeable effect, as those categories are the largest. But if you ban, say, a new Natasha Bedingfield song? That'll cause some of the burn you're hearing.

We also play a buttload of currents already ... if we fleshed it out anymore we'd really have to start straining and playing some total crap just to get the numbers to work. I'd rather stick somewhat to hits.

It's all give-and-take!

I agree where your coming from on th e songs. But you got to understand being this is a standard HOT AC, AC current style format its the same songs you here everywhere else. Being that taken stuff you here at work from Muzak,IBN, music choice ect sounds different in meaning there is still some room for some changes. What I mean is im not telling you to change what your playing im just saying expand the playlists bigger. This is a different kind of service when all you got to do is skip and skip if you dont like something. Before you know it because you heard the same song a million times on the station your listening habits change. But if you look at music choices top 40 it changes and has a ton of more currents and digs pretty deep when it comes to the classics from 80s and 90s. Im just telling you from my experience when I came here. You got to consider the fact you can skip and stuff to know your attention span is more bigger being you got the power to skip or hear the same stuff over and over. As far as portable goes I really hope you can get with Frank and Charles there are issues with licenses with most your songs not playing on portable and makes a portable user like me say hey there is a lot of repetitive stuff on this portable and to try to load up your own portable and your see. The station mostly works fine just some songs play more since all your rest are not there due to transfer issues. Now over at Oldies in say the last week or so I got to say there stuff is really coming up as in being more songs in portable coming down. But I know that genre is different in being more decades but im just saying as a end user standpoint. Borrow one of theres or get one I got one too its not to bad and your see some of the stuff im talking about :)
