What all do you need with it, for it to work? (yes, I'm new and still confused)
Like... do you need a portable radio device, and do you need to upgrade your account here, and does it cost a monthly fee???

Can someone explain to me, because spending $40 just for the transmitter sounds to good to be real for an awesome custom radio station! Oh and how many stations are you allowed to have? Thanks for any info

Yes, you need a portable device that receives Slacker. The FM transmitter plugs into the earphone jack of the device, and transmits its output over an FM frequency that your car radio can receive and play.
