I'm not looking for a band but a station that is the same or very similar to XM's Fine Tuning. I'm still in mourning the take over of XM by Sirius and this was my favorite station. Does anyone have or is there a station that has recreated this? Thanks

I am getting more and more frustrated by the lack of artists that will play on my G2. Many will play on the web player, but that is not satisfactory to me.

I have seen all the explanations, but if things don't change, I will not re-up my plus sub nor replace my G2 in the future.

I really thought I have found my perfect solution in Slacker. Sigh...

I'm right there with you, Jerry. Especially when you add in the refresh issues and player glitches, it's not what it could or should be. I also am finding that even after several factory resets and refreshes, with settings on deeper or fringe for custom stations, I'm not getting a lot of variety in the playlists. If I'm not able to discover new and/or unfamiliar music on the G2, I might as well just listen to my ipod with roughly 6000 songs that I like. I will not be renewing in February, and will just consider it as an expensive 1 year experiment. I will keep my eye out for the next thing in hopes of fulfilling my musical desires and wishes.

Guys, where are we?

Well, I have renewed my subscription, but I'm not knocked out by the selection of jazz artists as it seems about an inch deep in it's variety.

Still looking for Jessy J., Victor Wooten, S.M.V (Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten), Alexander Zonjic, Hiromi, more Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorious, Trio of Doom (John McLaughlin, Jaco Pastorious, Tony Williams, U-Nam, and that's just a taste.

C'mon Slacker. Get on the stick. :-?

Still no change for the artists that I have requested in this thread.

One exception: TMBG's Mink Car is showing up on the web player, but not the G2.

Not happy. Still. But holding out hope.

Please add Raining Jane to the artist playlist. They've released an EP and two full CD's.

Please add Sleigh Bells, at least it shows up in a search now, but there are no songs. Crown on the Ground, Infinity Guitars, etc.
My stations: Sirius XM U

I don't know if this is the proper thread for this, but here goes.

The selection of Jerry Lee Lewis material seems very weak. I realize he is not a missing artist of course, but I would like to hear more of his Sun material other than his four hits, with none of the lousy remakes. I would also like to see his period from Elektra records (1979-1981) represented, such as "Rockin' My Life Away" and "Rita May". I know "Over the Rainbow" is in the system, but I've never heard it and am not sure if it is the one from this period. I realize this might be daunting considering the number of in-and-out of print records in his catalogue. Thanks.

I found one artist I was looking for. Eric Hisaw. But my station never plays him. I made his songs my favorites, still nothing. I even tried to set up a station with just him on it and all that happened was it kept automatically adding all these other artists I didn't want, and playing them instead of him. He's a friend and I would really like to give him some exposure. What can I do?

austinella....This artist( Eric Hisaw) is listed with his songs but I suspect the Slacker does not have rights to play his music. If you know this guy maybe you should talk to him to get his label to give Slacker rights to play his music. As a long timer user of Slacker I am aware that some artists listed with music will not play until Slacker has the approval the rights.Put his name in the artist suggestion link on the forum.
