So, I'm trying to put together a list of sweet items I want for Christmas, as I'm trying to really expand my 60's/70's rock collection.

I know I want the new Box Set from The Doors (you can see it here: http://www.aolradioblog.com/2009/11/17//box-sets-2009/) - as it's got a lot of unreleased material and live stuff, but any other suggestions for me? Any bands I should know about?

Help!!

One of the issues I've noticed on both the latest version of Slacker for Blackberry and previous versions is that the music volume does not appear to be equalized. I notice this problem not only on my blackberry, but also through the Slacker website as well. What I mean by this is that some songs come through very quite whereas others come through very loud. It makes it very difficult when I'm at work and have my blackberry connected to external speakers and have the volume turned up because of a bunch of "quiet" songs, only to have the next song come blasting through the speakers. This happens both when I use external speakers or use the internal speakers on my blackberry. Please consider addressing this issue soon. Thanks!

Goldfrapp -- "A&E" -- I got an instrumental version from the A&E EP. Should be the album track from Seventh Tree.

Madonna -- "Get Together" -- I was looking for the album track from Confessions on a Dance Floor, but got a remix off of some other album. Maybe a Get Together remix EP?

Galaxie 500 -- "Decomposing Trees" -- I got a live version from the Peel Sessions album, but was looking for the original from On Fire.

Chuck Berry -- "Roll Over Beethoven" and others -- there are several Chuck Berry songs where the versions that always get played (either by a request or just by it being the one listed as the most popular) are re-recordings from Chuck Berry's Golden Hits (1967 - Mercury). The original versions, whether from some greatest hits or whatever, would be much better.
Thanks!

The Bravery just put out a new music video for their single 'Slow Poison' which is going to be on their new album Stir the Blood. I'm digging the 80s inspired retro theme they've got going on in this video. Probably one of the best videos I have seen released this year. Thoughts? http://bit.ly/3y3K4T

Hello:

Just checking in again with a new song add from guitarist Jay Soto called Fascination. Jay's latest CD Mesmerized is a good one if you are looking for music ideas for the Smooth Jazz fan for the holidays.

Thanks as always for listening to the format and your passion for it, and thanks of course for being a Slacker!
