Diso Station Update September 2009
Posted: Mon Sep 07, 2009 3:52 pmJust checking in...it looks as if there are not a whole lot of questions regarding the Disco Channel. It is what it is. Wall to Wall Disco Dancing Party Music!
To date...we have over 1625 titles in our active playlist. About 50% of those you will hear regularly if you put us on and keep it there. About 400 Powers from the 1971-1989 eras. Another 500 that make up the "next best" group of songs from the same years. There is another 500 that we call Lunars...songs that come around from time to time that are nice variations from the tried and true but would wear out quickly if we played them more often.
There is still a category of "looking for" songs that have been a challenge to find. They had a place on the radio or in the clubs but may not have been on labels that cared much for their place in music history. We continue to search for purchasable copies so when they are played...you have the option to purchase.
